British Airways

We’re delighted to have joined forces with British Airways to launch a brilliant new initiative called Flying Start. The aim is to give vulnerable children across the UK and the world’s poorest countries a flying start in life so they can look forward to a much brighter future.

BA are fundraising for us all year round both in the air and on the ground through collections of spare change and foreign currency.

They also helped Red Nose Day 2011 reach new heights by breaking the record for the highest ever stand-up gig at 35,000 feet featuring Dara O Briain, Jack Whitehall and Jon Richardson! BA got customers and Comic Relief supporters to text in for a chance win tickets to the join the crew and comedians on board.

Of course, it all helped to raise money for Comic Relief, but they didn’t stop there. Everyone in their business – from engineering and baggage handlers to check-in staff and cabin crew – got involved in big fundraising feats.

We’re incredibly proud to have such a fantastic partner like BA and together, through Flying Start, we’ll be making a difference one child at a time.
