In Her Own Words

I cannot remember what my Mum and Dad looked like.

They both died of AIDS when I was a small child and I have no photographs of them to remind me. After they were gone I went to live with my sister and her husband but they did not want me there and they would not pay for me to go to school anymore. I felt very lonely as I had no family to look after me. If my mother was alive today, I would tell her my problems and she would listen to them and help me.

Your money helped a project that helped me find my great uncle. He let me live with him and his wife. They are my family now and I love living with them. I am back in school and I am studying hard so that when I grow up I can be police woman and help other children just like me.
