"I was bought up by my grandmother in Jamaica as my parents had moved to UK to find work. My Grandmother died when I was seven, and so I moved to London to live with my mum and dad but things weren't easy. As a young man I ended up homeless and unemployed. One night it dawned on me that I had never properly grieved for my grandmother, so I wept and wept. After that I stopped eating and sleeping. I was taken to a psychiatric hospital where I was restrained and injected with medication I didn't want. When I came out no-one seemed to understand me. But I didn't give up and I had faith in myself and those around me. Slowly, I got better. Now I am happily married with seven children and use music to help those living with mental health problems to rebuild their lives."
