Fifty Volunteers and so close to the Beach!

American Express volunteers in sunny Brighton went the Extra Mile!

50 American Express volunteers came into the centre on Saturday 15th July and handled in excess of £40,000 in donations from the public - a truly fantastic achievement on one of the hottest weekends of the year (and so close to the beach!)

During the evening our volunteers kept their cool with a fabulous Sport Relief mini fan which they each received in their goodie bag on arrival. We were able to watch events throughout the night on televisions installed especially around the centre, so the atmosphere was fantastic! With the opportunity to win boxes of luxury chocolates every 30 minutes and a bottle of vintage cava rewarded each hour for the highest single donation taken the excitement was rife.

By the end of the evening everyone had a touching story to tell about the people they had spoken to and were sincerely pleased to have been able to donate their time to such a worthwhile cause.
