Peter's Story

Peter still cries when he thinks about his mum and dad. They died when he was only a little boy but he’s had to grow up pretty fast since then. He’s the head of the family now and he’s just 13 years old.
He lives in one of the poorest countries on earth where hundreds of kids are orphaned by HIV/AIDS every single day. His future, and that of his four younger brothers and sisters, is hanging by a very thin thread.
Thankfully, the money you raised for Red Nose Day is providing them with a lifeline. It’s helping their grandmother to feed, clothe and care for them and it has paid for the pens, books, uniforms and fees that they need to go to school.
Without the help from this Comic Relief funded project it looked certain that Peter was destined to spend the rest of his life trapped in extreme poverty.
