Key Stages

Introduce your students to the world! This lesson uses case studies, discussion and interactive resources to bring the stories of children in Africa alive, so students can explore what life is like for their peers.

Learning Objectives

  • For students to understand the similarities and differences between themselves and children in Africa.
  • For students to understand that some children miss out on going to school.
  • For students to know they can make a difference when they take part in RND, as the money they raise will go to help children like Fred, Sarah and Joy.

  • Some of the reasons why so many children miss out, and what Comic Relief is doing to help them get there.
  • That students can choose how they would like to help children in Africa get to school this Red Nose Day.
