Taking On The Tough Stuff is a new initiative for British actors, whereby they can give 1% of their earnings to Comic Relief between 1st January and 13th March 2009 – Red Nose Day.
Actors often tackle tough social issues through their work on screen and stage – if that’s you, now you have a chance to help Comic Relief tackle those issues on the ground.
All you need to do is to tell your agent you’d like to be part of it. Your agent will do the sums and give the money to Comic Relief – they’ll also generously donate their share of that 1%, which is only a hundredth of their commission.
What’s even better is that if you’re eligible for Gift Aid, Comic Relief can claim up to 28p per pound extra on each donation.
If you want, you can download the agreement below, sign it and send it to your agent:

Or you can just call or e-mail them – whatever works for you.
Although we're nearly at Red Nose Day, it's not too late to sign up to Taking on the Tough Stuff. You can still donate your 1% - or if you’d prefer to just give a flat donation, simply e-mail us at totts@comicrelief.com and we'll let you know how to make sure your money goes to this initiative.
