Community Rules

Please make sure you follow these rules whenever you use or post anything on this site, including the Online Fundraising Pages - please also read our terms of use and privacy policy:

• Our community and fundraising pages are provided solely to help you fundraise for Comic Relief. Please bear this in mind when using them and posting content.
• You may not advertise or sell any products or services, or promote a business. If you have a helpful web address to share, please inform the Comic Relief moderators on fundraising@rednoseday.com, and we will promote it if we decide it is appropriate.
• All contributions must be civil, polite, tasteful and appropriate.
• Your contributions must not be unlawful, inappropriate or objectionable. This includes any content which is obscene, defamatory (i.e. libellous or slanderous) or unlawful in any other way. It also includes content which someone else might think is offensive, upsetting, abusive, or threatening, especially any violent or sexually explicit material.
• You must not behave disruptively, offensively or abusively – this includes being aggressive, argumentative, threatening or bullying. It also includes spamming, harassing or revealing anyone’s personal details.
• Please make sure you have the permission of anybody appearing in any pictures or videos. This is especially important for children under 16 – you should always have the express permission of their parent or guardian, and should consider whether it is appropriate to post the material at all.
• Please do not post anything which is copyrighted, such as clips of music videos or TV shows, that you don’t have permission to use.
• We advise you not to publicly post any personal information about yourself or anyone else, (for example your telephone number, home address or email address), especially any children.
• The Online Fundraising Pages have been created for use by supporters aged 16 and over.
• No spamming or off-topic material: please don’t make repeated submissions of the same or similar contributions, especially if they're boring, and don't contribute off-topic material in subject-specific threads or areas.
• No inappropriate user names. This includes anything vulgar or offensive - and the cunning use of £ ^%$ to make people think you're being vulgar.
• No impersonations - unless you're at least as good as Rory Bremner.
• Please note that the views expressed on the Online Fundraising Pages are those of members of the public, and are not necessarily those of Comic Relief.
• If you breach any of these rules, we reserve the right to remove any inappropriate content or links without warning. If we decide that the breach is serious or persistent, we may suspend or block your account without warning, and may use whatever information is available to us about you to stop the breaches. This may include passing details to relevant third parties such as your employer, school, email provider, and in serious cases, the police or other authorities.
• We reserve the right to delete any contribution, or take action against any user or account, at any time, for any reason, without warning.
