Celebrities including TV star Jamie Laing, Olympian Louis Smith, England footballers Dele Alli and Alex Scott, TV comedian Rob Beckett and Soccer AM favourite Adam Smith will play against some of the best gamers in the country, as Comic Relief teams up with social video platform Twitch.
The GameRaisers will be fighting it out, playing their favourite games to raise cash for Comic Relief funded issues like youth homelessness, whilst also encouraging the Twitch community to stream their own games for a good cause in the following weeks.
Kicking off today for one week only, the celebrities will be challenging top gamers including LT Zonda, Stodeh, MissEllaCronin and Spamfish.
“I’m a huge gamer and I’m really looking forward to taking on some of the pros and showing them what I’ve got,” Louis Smith said, “If you think you can take me on, put your money where your mouth is - it’s for a good cause after all.”
The battle doesn’t stop at the end of the week either – any gamer can get involved themselves by signing up to join the Comic Relief x Twitch campaign in the coming months. They can get a heads-up on any new unmissable action, download a host of content for use on their channel and on social media and enter some epic prize-draws.
