Orphaned by Ebola: Ed Sheeran visits Liberia for Comic Relief

Ed Sheeran meets (and sings with) Peaches, a young girl who lost her father to Ebola.

Ed said, “I’ll never forget the kids I met on this trip, when we sang together they were in such high spirits despite everything they’d been through. It was an incredibly eye opening experience and I‘m really proud to support Comic Relief and see what they are doing to help these children have a better future.”

£45 is enough to provide a child, living and working on the streets of Liberia, with everything they need to go to school for an entire year.

About the Project

Street Child Liberia supports some of Liberia's most marginalised children, those who are working on the streets and lack safe shelter, education and healthcare. Social workers engage with these children and offer them counselling and support so that they can return home or live safely with other family members.

The project also helps their families with small business schemes, to increase their income and enable them to support their children to stay in school and away from the hazards of street living.
