Malaria is still one of the biggest killers of children under five

Malaria is still one of the biggest killers of children under five, yet it is entirely preventable and treatable.

In Africa, just 30p could pay for a diagnostic test for a child with malaria symptoms. £30 could provide tests for 100 children to be diagnosed.

About the Project

Through The Global Fund, Comic Relief supports the procurement of mosquito nets, rapid diagnostic tests, as well as anti-malaria treatment for pregnant mothers and children under five. This helps some of the most vulnerable groups in sub-Saharan African countries to protect themselves from deadly malaria through prevention, early diagnosis and prompt, effective treatment.
