With just two weeks to go till the big, red, ever-so-slightly ridiculous fundraising event that is Red Nose Day, comedian and presenter Paddy McGuinness is on a mission to make sure everyone knows about it. Today he’ll be gate-crashing the sets of our best loved TV and radio shows to show everyone just how easy it is to fundraise for Red Nose Day, just by having a laugh.
Paddy kicked off his day of antics by wheeling a trolley of Red Nose Day treats right into the studio of Good Morning Britain to the bemusement of presenters Ben Shephard, Kate Garraway and Richard Arnold. He even managed to grab a cheeky selfie with the hosts before running off!
“However you fundraise for Red Nose Day, just have a laugh and raise a bit of cash for Comic Relief,” Paddy said, “It’s only two weeks to go until the big day, which is the perfect amount of time to plan something. You can do whatever you want, big or small - have a bake sale, throw a karaoke party, dress up or get sponsored to do something silly”.
Paddy will continue to spread the fundraising spirit in a variety of surprise locations throughout the day. You can follow the action on social media with #RedNoseDay.
To keep the laughs going after your fundraising event, don’t forget to tune in to BBC One from 7pm on Friday 24th March for a night of live comedy and entertainment.
