For the first time ever, renowned fashion photographer Rankin has designed an exclusive t-shirt range for Red Nose Day 2017, in collaboration with TK Maxx and Comic Relief.
After photographing iconic figures from the Queen to David Bowie, Rankin now turns his lens to animals. “I designed this range especially for Comic Relief with my love for animals in mind”, Rankin explained. “I wanted to be able to put a fun and creative spin on classic images for this specific campaign to put a smile on people’s faces for Red Nose Day and encourage everyone to make their laugh matter.”
The TK Maxx and Comic Relief partnership is now in its seventh year, and has raised over £17 million since 2005. This year’s t-shirt campaign, fronted by comedian Jack Whitehall and Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams, features nine quirky animal designs, including Bertie the bunny, Florence the goat and Rankin’s own dog Doris. What’s even better is that the t-shirts are wholly manufactured in Africa with fairtrade cotton - meaning a fairer price for the farmers.
