The Vineyard
- Located at the foot of Perdeberg Mountain, SAAM Mountain Vineyards is a new South African venture which unites winemaker and farmer under a common love of the land and its produce.
- The area is known locally as the Mountain of Horses, after the wild mountain zebra, the Quagga, which used to roam there.
- SAAM Mountain Vineyards unites a group of 40 South African growers who farm vineyards that span the premium growing areas from Paarl to the Durbanville Hills.
- Launched in 2007, SAAM Mountain Vineyards has received many awards and accolades in a short time, including critical acclaim on BBC Breakfast, Decanter Wine of the Month, medals from the International Wine Challenge, Swiss Air and the Old Mutual Chenin Trophy.
- Reviewed in the Financial Times, Jancis Robinson MW called SAAM "the South African producer that seems to be doing everything right".
