Do your pupils have a nose for art and design? If so, we’ve got the perfect challenge for them!

We’re sniffing out creative geniuses from schools across the nation to design one of the iconic Noses for the Red Nose Day 2019 collection.

One lucky pupil will get the chance to see their winning idea brought to life by designers, and be presented with their Nose before it hits shelves in Sainsbury’s and Oxfam stores across the country. Five runners-up will also have their Noses exclusively designed and 3D printed.

Sound good? Follow the instructions below...

Get the creativity in the classroom flowing and help design a Red Nose.

1. Get designing

Comic Relief would like pupils to design a very special Nose for Red Nose Day 2019.
Their designs must:

  • Be inspired by a character that could live in a magical land.
  • Be creative and original – we’re looking for a Nose like no other.
  • Use only red, white, silver or gold as the main Nose colour, although black and white can be used for detail, e.g. for eyes.
  • Appeal to a wide audience, but especially children and young people.
  • Be designed on the official Red Nose Design Challenge template.

2. Get inspired

We’ve created handy teacher notes with curriculum-linked activities to sharpen pupils’ design skills and help their creativity flow.

We’ve had heaps of Noses since we kicked off Red Nose Day 30 years ago. Sometimes they’re big, sometimes they’re even hairy - but they’ve always been a bit silly!
