Teachers, It's Time To Fundraise!

Over the years, you top teachers have certainly taught us a few fundraising tips and tricks.

Here, together with handy hints of our own, are some of the best ideas that you've shared with us. They're guaranteed to make your school fundraising a big success.

Pay To Take Part

Asking staff, students and parents to pay a small donation to get involved in an activity is an easy way to bring the whole school together to raise money on Red Nose Day. They can even pay to watch!

Do Something Funny For Money...

  1. Glee for a fee Hold a Glee-themed all-singing, all-dancing talent show where everyone pays to watch the big event.
  2. Disco fever Hold an after-school or lunchtime disco with a donation at the door to get in and get groovy.
  3. Dress-up day Hold a non-uniform or fancy-dress day where pupils pay a donation to take part in the fun.

Top tips:

  1. As well as getting the whole school involved, why not invite the parents along too!
  2. Download event posters and our press release to help publicise what you're up to.
  3. Why not ask your bank manager to match what you raise? They could even present the cheque at school!
Get Sponsored To Raise Cash

Get your pupils to think of a challenge they'd like to complete and ask them to collect sponsorship money from family and friends for accomplishing the mighty feat. It's a perfect chance for your students (and teachers!) to shine and to do something really amazing.

Do Something Funny For Money...

  1. Give it up Challenge your pupils to get sponsored to give something up for a day. Or even a week!
  2. Shave your Head Or your Deputy Head… or any teacher! Everyone loves a good sponsored leg waxing or beard removal.
  3. Don’t stop! Get your pupils to think what activity they could get sponsored to do non-stop against the clock.

Top tips:

  1. Announce in assembly that your school is supporting Red Nose Day and invite pupils to get involved and take on their own sponsored challenge.
  2. Hand out your sponsor forms early and set a date for collecting them, and the fundraising money, back in.
  3. Download official Red Nose Day sponsorship forms and event posters now!
Sell Your Stuff

Sure, it feels great to give, but let’s be honest, it feels even better when you get something back in return. Selling a few bits and bobs or doing some good deeds for a donation is an easy way to get everyone joining in and will certainly bring out your students’ creative and enterprising sides.

  2. Download an official Red Nose Day event poster and our certificate to award pupils for their fantastic fundraising feats.
  3. Have an award up for grabs for the most entrepreneurial
    idea.
