BeanoMax Goes Red For Comic Relief!

15 February 2007

As the Beano approaches its 70th birthday, DC Thomson is launching BeanoMax - a monthly publication aimed at the older Beano reader.

The first issue bursts into life today, 15 February, with a special Red Nose Day theme featuring Jonathan Ross, Frank Lampard, Steve Gerrard and many other celebrities. Jamie Oliver even takes over the Bash Street School canteen, much to the Kids' joy!

There's also a special phone-in competition to win the famous red-nose designed suit worn in past shows by Lenny Henry. All proceeds go to Comic Relief.

The free gifts in the first BeanoMax include the classic Whoopee cushion with a Red Nose theme; a unique poster bringing together two of the nation's favourites - and their dogs - when Dennis and Gnasher meet Wallace and Gromit; and its own exclusive stickers for Comic Relief.
