Comic Relief Does Fame Academy is back!

26 February 2007

Comic Relief Does Fame Academy is back and the line up of celebrity students who are set to sing for survival has been announced.

Angellica Bell, Colin Murray, Fred MacAulay, Linda Robson, Mel Geidroyc, Miranda Hart, Ray Stubbs, Rowland Rivron, Shaun Williamson, Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, Tim Vine, Tricia Penrose and Zoë Salmon are all limbering up their vocal chords as they nervously wait for the action to begin on Saturday 3 March.

Vocal coach Carrie Grant has already clocked some star quality amongst the contestants, saying, ‘Shaun is an obvious singer but Richard will critique him very hard. Tara is absolutely petrified but has a lovely tone to her voice. She just needs to get some confidence and then she could have a very good voice indeed.’

And who will be the first to feel the wrath of head teacher, Richard Park? Tara has one way of dealing with his criticism, ‘I’ll just imagine he’s naked when he critiques my performance and it’ll put a whole new light on things!’

Patrick Kielty and Claudia Winkleman will be in charge as the celebrity students take to the stage each night to sing for viewers’ votes. One celebrity pupil will be expelled every night so there’s a lot to play for!

Comic Relief Does Fame Academy launches on BBC ONE on Saturday 3 March, then every night from March 7th with the live final on Red Nose Night, 16 March.
