Ray Relegated Out of Academy
A poorly Stubbsy was expelled last night after coughing and spluttering his way through his seventh day in the Academy.
With a nasty chest infection hindering his ability to sing, it was touch and go as to whether Ray would even make it on stage.
But he battled his way through his song to everyone’s amazement, particularly judge Lesley who exclaimed, ‘you’re the bravest man on the planet – you shouldn’t even be out of bed!’
All the students have been feeling the pressure as they fight to make to the semi-final but they’ve also been having a whale of a time.
Tricia got a telling off from vocal coach Carrie for partying too hard and taking her eye off the prize – which might explain her landing in the bottom three alongside Stubbsy and, ex-Eastender, Shaun.
The judges made a clean sweep for the first time this series as they all came to Tricia’s rescue.
It was equally agreeable amongst the students as they unanimously voted to save Shaun, telling Ray he needed to be at home in his sick-bed.
As they wave goodbye to Stubbsy, the students know the fight isn’t over. With the semi-final looming tonight, the pressure is most certainly on.
