New Let's Dance Line Up Revealed
26th Jan 2011
Due to popular demand, Let’s Dance for Comic Relief is set to return to the nation’s TV screens for a spectacular third series next month as a whole host of famous contestants have been unveiled.
Amongst the stars warming up to strut their stuff live on the show – which has previously seen the likes of Robert Webb re-enact 'Flashdance' and Rufus Hound do an uncanny version of Cheryl Cole’s smash hit 'Fight For This Love' – will be The Mighty Boosh comic Noel Fielding and former GMTV host Penny Smith.
They’ll be joined by Thick Of It star Rebecca Front, TV designers Colin McAllister and Justin Ryan, plus comics Russell Kane, Andi Osho and Ed Byrne as they battle it out to be crowned the Let’s Dance for Comic Relief champion.
Presenting the live BBC One show for the third time will be Steve Jones and he’ll be joined by the One Show’s Alex Jones.
Speaking of her involvement, Alex said "I was a huge fan of Let's Dance last year and can't wait to join Steve and the team. It's come at the perfect time for me having just returned from filming in Africa for Comic Relief where I saw first-hand how we can really make a difference."
Each week, the celebrity contestants will take to the floor to recreate some of the most iconic dance routines that have captured the attention of the nation. The public will be invited to vote for their favourite act to keep them in the competition with the proceeds going to Comic Relief.
Rumour has it that this year’s numbers will include Beyonce's 'Crazy In Love', 'I Love To Boogie' from Billy Elliot and Michael Jackson's 'Bad'. But you’ll have to tune in to find out....
