The Big Tornado Pull
In support of ‘Red Nose Day’ a band of 30 willing and able airmen and airwomen from RAF Marham will pull a GR4 Tornado. The jet weighs approximately 17 tonnes and will be pulled over 30 metres on Friday 16 March. To make the event even more special The Tornado will even have a Red Nose!
Around 450 members of the Anglia Farmers Association donned a Red Nose to show their collective support for Comic Relief at the Norfolk Farming Conference in Norwich on 21 February. Why not follow their lead and get everyone you work with to put on their Red Nose for the day or to dress in red or to wear whatever wacky outfit people will pay to see them in!

Staff at ‘The New Covent Garden Food Co’ in Peterborough have got their space-hoppers at the ready for a Red Nose Day race, raffle and a wear-red-athon!
Teams of 5 will compete in an inflatable squished tomato relay race at Westwood Farm on RND ‘07 to see which team will be the best bouncers ever! Everyone will be paying £2 to take part and all of the money raised will be donated to Comic Relief.
Big Difference
From the money raised from 10 Red Nose Days, Comic Relief has spent over £5 Million on over 200 projects in the East.
Since Red Nose Day 2005, Comic Relief has spent £700,000 on 21 projects working in the East.
Here’s an example of where your money has gone.
St Edmund’s Society in Norfolk was set up 38 years ago to support homeless young men between the ages of 16–30. A Comic Relief grant, over three years, enables the work in the day centre to continue and for their accredited wood turning and carpentry workshop to expand. The project gives the young men skills which will help them become employable, and builds their self confidence.
