Rallyoke visits Belfast
Chris Moyles and the Radio 1 breakfast team brought Karaoke to Belfast on Monday 12th March, along with a host of special guests. Louis Walsh, Scott Mills and Tim Wheeler all took to the stage to entertain the crowds. Taking their obsession with karaoke to a new scale, the infamous Breakfast team will spend a week touring the UK hosting rowdy karaoke nights to packed out venues filled with lucky Radio 1 winners. SS. Nomadic gets a nose-over!
The SS. Nomadic, sister of the Titanic and the last surviving ship of the once famous White Star Line is taking her first trip out after having a massive nose job, all in aid of Comic Relief. Nomadic is going to be berthed on Friday 16 March at Queens Quay, Belfast and has teamed up with Genesis, Sainsburys and Denny Sausages to give all who come to see Her a good old fashioned Belfast Shipyard Breakfast. A team of chefs will be on hand cooking Denny’s sausages supplied by Sainsburys Forestside and popping them into fresh Belfast baps supplied by Genesis and all that’s asked for is a donation to Comic Relief.
Nomadic will arrive at Queens Quay around 10.30am and be berthed there until Monday 19th March for all who want to visit. Samantha Mumba will be visiting the Vessel on Saturday 17th March and she will be doing something really special, you will have to be at Queens Quay at around 2.30pm to see what!

The population of Northern Ireland are doing all sorts of crazy things to help raise loads of cash for The Big One. Mini Lovers Northern Ireland will be taking a tour in their cars around many of the scenic sights in Belfast including, City Hall, the Cathedral Quarter, the Waterfront and the University. Ulster Hospital is holding a Maternity Football challenge, 60 staff from Halifax Retail Contact Centre are donning parachutes and jumping out of a plane and Compass Advocacy Network is holding a Pyjama Party. Big Difference
Since Red Nose Day started £6.2 million pounds has been spent in Northern Ireland, supporting over 300 projects across the country. The NI Women’s Aid Federation represents ten Women's Aid organisations in Northern Ireland, 12 refuges and 12 resource centres and is a constant resource for women and their children across NI.
A three year grant from Comic Relief has funded UKrefugeonline - an online information system managing beds in hundreds of refuges: Women's Aid can now search the whole of the UK for a place of safety in a matter of seconds.
