The South East is getting all geared up for The Big One! Corporate partners Kimberly Clark (the makers of Andrex and Kleenex) based in Kent, have all sorts of plans for getting their staff involved in fundraising - from a Big Red Lunch, a Red Nose Day party and a Giant raffle.

The south-east countryside is alive with fundraising planning. A Baptist church in Bexhill-on-Sea will be the venue for the 'BIG RED NOSE GIG' - where local young rock bands will come head to head. A care centre in Haywards Heath is holding a cake sale and quiz for residents and the local community.

Meanwhile a Ladies Fundraising Pamper Day is taking place in Fernhurst, West Sussex - with facials, makeovers and spa treatments on offer to make fundraising a very special experience!

Big Difference

Since the first Red Nose Day back in 1985, Comic Relief has spent over £1.7 million on 110 projects in the South East.

Many homeless young people find themselves living rough on the streets or in temporary accommodation because of difficulties at home, such as abuse or family breakdown. Without help, they often find themselves drawn into drug and alcohol abuse. Cash from Comic Relief has enabled the Clock Tower Sanctuary to provide vital support to these vulnerable young people in Brighton. The project provides a range of practical services as well as help for them to find secure accommodation and develop the skills and confidence they need to find a job or return to education.
