Radio presenters take to the court
A charity netball match with a difference took place on Saturday 10 March at the Carn Brea Leisure Centre, Redruth. Male presenters from BBC Radio Cornwall took on a select female side and if that wasn’t enough the men took to the court in dresses, red wigs and, of course, red noses! We’ll pass on the result as soon as we get it!
Sporting Legends tee-off
Five footballing legends headed to Cornwall for the regions biggest charity gold tournament of the year. MJ Promotions hosted the 2007 Comic Relief Charity Golf Classic at Bowood Park Golf Club on 13 March. Chelsea heroes Ron Harris, Peter Bonetti, Alan Harris, John Hollins and Kerry Dixon joined teams from across the region before settling down for a Gala dinner and an auction of sporting memorabilia.

The Big Dive
The National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth hosted a 12 hour dive spectacular, The Big Try Dive, on Friday 9 March for RND ‘07. Members of the public were given the opportunity to try scuba diving in the Aquatheatre tank, and take on the professionals in upside down egg and spoon races! Nearly £1000 from the dive and other activities was raised for Comic Relief!

Since Red Nose Day started, £9.93 million has been spent in the West and South West of England, supporting over 400 projects in the regions.
Pentreath Ltd in Cornwall is a project which helps support young people in rural areas who may be experiencing deterioration in their
mental health.
Comic Relief funds 2 part time-posts for the Way 2 Go young person's project which offers training, work experience and employment opportunities to
young people in Cornwall who are recovering from mental ill health.
